🚨DAY TRIP ALERT🚨, 🚨DAY TRIP ALERT🚨 We were camped at a beautiful place but there was not much to do around the campground so we went on a lot of day trips.
Day Trip No.1 We went to see an open cut gold mine in Peak Hill and "The Dish". The Dish is used for radio astronomy, it is 64 m in diameter and weighs 300 tonnes (300,000 kg). Its used by about 300 people each year and it receives radio signals from space.
Day Trip No.2 We went to a roadside creek to have a swim (a bush wash.) Jackson and I spent most of our time catching little fish and yabbies until Mum and Dad told us to have a swim (it was cold.).
Day Trip No.3 We went to Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo and to the swimming pool in Dubbo. We had lots of fun at the pool which had three slides! (If you want to hear about the zoo check out my zoo post).
Day Trip No.4 We went to the annual Parkes Elvis Festival and it was AMAZING!! There was buskers in the street and a big stage in the park where singers could perform. There was also heaps of crazy souvenirs, including an Elvis camp chair!
In the time we were at camp we rode around and did some walks.
