Isabella Falls,QLD

★=Full Star☆=Half a Star

We had heaps of fun swimming and swinging on a rope swing in a deeper pool. But unfortunately I got stung by a hornet when I went under the waterfall! It hurt!! I loved swinging in the hammock listening to the waterfall near our camp. It sounded beautiful.

We loved floating down a crack in the rocks where all the powerful water from the waterfall pushed us down!

We enjoyed swimming at Isabella Falls.πŸ‘†

Artemis Station, QLD

Star Rating:★★★

★=Full Star☆=Half a Star

Along the dusty road to Artemis Station we stopped at Old Laura Homestead…it was awesome but it’s floors were made of ox blood and crushed termite mounds…Yuck!

The interesting things at Artemis Station were:

·To get hot water for the shower at Artemis Station you had to light a fire under a big drum of water to heat it up.

·One of the owners of Artemis Station, Sue, took us around the farm and we got to feed goats, chickens, pigs and ducks!

·We  got to pick two papayas, a couple of lemons, two starfruit and heaps and heaps of passionfruit. We also collected three eggs on the morning we left.

It was all super fun!

There was a big tree at the Old Laura Homestead that created a beautiful shadow!

The Old Laura Homestead.☝

There was a super old car at the Old Laura Homestead.

All the goats went and stood at a fence (which kept them out out of the food storeroom) when Sue was getting the food!

I got to feed the goats in the afternoon.

We went for a walk to see the sunrise on the morning we left, it was beautiful.πŸ‘‡

Termites had killed and covered a tree with their nest!

The sunset out front of our camp.πŸ‘†

Starfruit(it's yum!).πŸ‘†

Coen River,QLD

Star Rating:★★★

★=Full Star☆=Half a Star

We had an awesome time swimming in the refreshing water and flying off the rope swing whilst staying at the Coen River. Jackson and I made some friends and we had heaps of fun trading fix-ems and swimming together. Dad spotted two snakes that stayed under water for a while- like 15 minutes! We didn’t realise snakes could stay under water that long.

There was a super nice waterhole that we swam in, it didn't have crocs in it (I think!).

Iron Range National Park,QLD

Star Rating:★★★

★=Full Star☆=Half a Star

When we were at the Iron Range National Park it was like going to the zoo! Here are all the animals we saw and how we spotted them:

·We went on a night walk and found a bright green tree frog and we also saw fireflies.

·I nearly stepped on a snake that had been half run over but when Dad went to ‘put it out of its misery’ it slithered off.

·We saw a huge python that slithered up into a tree - Dad said it was about a metre and half long!

·And lastly a bat flew past me and touched my cheek (well I think it was a bat).

Dad also caught a giant Queenie (Queenfish) off the shore at Portland Roads (and I had a fish and coleslaw wrap for dinner, it was yum).

On the first full day we were there we did a day trip to Portland Roads and Chilli Beach. Chilli Beach was covered with rubbish but it was still beautiful and we had fun there.

Dad spotted a beautiful bright green tree frog!

Dad and Jackson caught a HUGE QUEENIE, it was yum!

There was a tree covered with thongs at Chilli Beach!

There was a beautiful swing on Chilli Beach.

Mount Tozer.

I spotted some huge, super tall termite mounds.

We walked down heaps of tracks that had old broken down cars in them!

After a long day of driving we finally arrived at Rossville around three o'clock (we left early but we also stopped off at a market and a Woolworths to get more food). As soon as we set up we drove down to the Lions Den Hotel and had a Fanta, then when we got back Dad, Jackson and I went down to explore the river! The next day we spent most of the day down at the waters edge, it was super fun!

Dad got the slackline out and we had heaps of fun on it.

We went to the Lions Den Hotel.

We played a couple of games of pool, it was fun.

We had heaps of fun going down some fast flowing rapids!

We met a girl named Ava and she had a blow up air mattress.....we had a great time going down the the rapids on the air mattress with her! πŸ‘‡

That is only the start of everything we did! Our time in Cooktown was super fun……the only bad thing was the we got attacked by sandflies!

There was a mini version of the Endeavour, it looked awesome!

The Captain Cook statue!

The Indigenous Australians(from this area) yearly hunting schedule (sorry it's the wrong way).πŸ‘†

I found a massive stick insect, can you spot it?

The Reconciliation Rocks area (below) is where Captain Cook first made peace with the Indigenous people of the area. The black feather represents the Indigenous people of the area and the white feather represents Captain James Cook and his men.πŸ‘‡πŸ»πŸ‘‡πŸΏ
