Adventure in a van.: Week 3 Sat 2th April -Fri 8th April

In Orbost it was bucketing down so it was a boring afternoon. For dinner we went out to a nice Thai restaurant with my Uncle Markus and Dad’s work friends (Deb and Peter). For entrée I had spring rolls and for my main meal I had Pad Thai with chicken. !!IT WAS YUM!! For dessert I had banana pudding with sticky rice and ice cream, I didn’t think it would be good, but it was delicious!!

We went out for dinner with my Uncle Markus.

In the morning we went for a walk and saw a Bower bird nest.

We found a log with some interesting fungi on it.

Eden, NSW

When we arrived at Eden the rain had finally stopped (it had been raining forever) and we were able to have our first swim of the trip (in the ocean). From our camp it was only a couple of miniture, teeny-tiny, baby steps to get to the ocean and river. We tried to go boggie boarding at a surf beach but there were only tiny waves.

After our swim, Dad and Jackson went fishing whilst Mum and I went for a long walk along the beach and in town.

We had fun sitting in the sand and waiting for the waves to wash us in.

There were lots of big rocks that we liked to climb on.

We found a fallen down tree that was half covered in sand (we tried to break it but we could not).

There was a beautiful big beach out the front of the caravan park

There was seaweed everywhere because the stormy weather had caused very big waves!

Tathra, NSW (My birthday!).

I loved Tathra because we were only across the road from the beach and we got one really good beach day where we got to go boogie boarding. I also loved it because it was my birthday.

On my birthday we went for a ride along the beach in the morning, but I got bogged in the sand so I had to park my bike and walk with Mum instead. After that it started pouring, and it didn't stop all day. We had heaps of yummy food for my birthday. I had pancakes with maple syrup and raspberries for breakfast then we went out to a cafe in Merimbula for morning tea and I got a HUGE slice of berry chessecake. We knew there were some good shops in Bega so we went over there and had a pub lunch. I had a chicken parma with super crunchy chips. I reckon dinner was the best of all as we had cheeseburgers with the LOT! For dessert we had a big, beautiful chocolate mud cake, with chocolate and raspberry ice-cream. I also got to try my first toffee apple today, it was super sweet.

I had fun going shopping in Bega on my birthday and spending my birthday money.

On my birthday we also got to swim in the pool while it was raining, it was......refreshing (otherwise known as cold!).

The next day was an activity day. After it had finally stopped raining we hired gokarts and the man let us keep them for 2 hours. We were wizzing around everywhere and we were exhausted by the end.

Our mascot 'Kattie' hated the wet weather!😾

For dinner on my birthday we had burgers with "The Lot".
