Sapphire, QLD

What did we do at Sapphire? Well duh, we looked for sapphires! We all (Jackson did the most fossicking out of all of us) spent more then 60% 0f our time at Sapphire bent over a plate of wash with tweezers and a small plastic bag! Jackson and I also made some new friends in the caravan park at Sapphire, their names were Beth and Paddy. On the last full day we were there Dad drove me down to the next town along, which was called Rubyvale, (there was also another town called Emerald) and we got strudels! I got an apple one, it was yum!

| We went down to an old creek bed to look for gems, and I found a magnificent rock with crystals inside. It looked like a mini cave! |
 |
| It was super fun fossicking and I found heaps of little sapphires! |

At the Caravan Park we were staying in they had a fossicking station and there was also washing stands to wash the dirt off the rocks, pebbles and even gems!
I put my nicest sapphires in a locket I bought at reception, the locket looks amazing!👇

| There was bird and wallaby feeding at five every afternoon! The rainbow lorikeets jumped on your arm to get the food, it was super funny. |
Ilfracombe/Wellshot Hotel, QLDStar Rating:★★★★
★=Full Star☆=Half a Star
When we got to Ilfracombe the first thing I saw was...some old machinery? That was because we were driving along Machinery Mile! It's a street lined with old famer's machines. When I looked to the other side of the road I saw a magnificent old pub with hilarious seats(read all about those seats later). Our stay turned out better than expected (and we had expected it to be awesome)! This is because there was some kids (around our age) who were also staying there and they even had a super cute dog who reminded us of our old dog, Rascal. We all had an amazing time at Wellshot Hotel, especially on our last night which was the State Of Origin rugby game! Jackson and I even got giant hands that said Go QLD on them. Our time at Wellshot Hotel was absolutely unforgettable!

| Ruby and Chace had a super cute dog named Willow and she loved to play frisbee!👆👇 |
 |
| We were lucky enough to be at Wellshot Pub for the State of Origin rugby game (we didn't even know it was happening)! It was super fun, we even got free burgers and blow up hands! Lol! |
 |
| There was some hilarious seats in the pub (two horse bottoms, one in jeans, one in dusty pants and there was also another super entertaining one.....)! |
 |
| There was some super vibrant sunsets at the Wellshot Hotel.👇👆 |

Qantas Museum and Stockman's Hall Of Fame

When we went to the museums we had a great time and I learnt a heap about Australian history. It was all super interesting.
 |
| There was an old warplane with a screen in front of it and you were able to fly the plane. It was hard! |
 |
| We got to climb in and see the first airplane with a toilet in it. The potty didn't look that comfortable! |
 |
| At the Stockman's Hall of Fame we got to wear headsets that explained everything. Mine and Jackson's had a treasure hunt in them! |
 |
| There was a huge statue out in front of the building, it was of an early farmer/shearer. |
Your locket is gorgeous, a beautiful keepsake.
