Duke of Orleans Bay, WA

At Duke of Orleans bay we:
- Spent a lot of time at Wharton Beach where I had lots of fun surfing/learning to surf, boogie boarding, jumping the waves and dunking Jackson under when he started to annoy me (which was pretty much always!).
- mixed sand and beach foam together to make 'beach slime' which felt like fluffy slime.
- watched the sunset on the beach with some chocolates left over from Jackson's birthday.
- went for a couple of long walks along the beach and around the rocks.
- Ate a big dinner of green lipped abalone-they were yum!
Even though everything was amazing, the most incredible thing by far was when Mum and I were jumping waves and we saw a fin, then another one and another one...... there where dolphins coming straight for us!! As Mum and I swam out further, the dolphins caught a wave that crashed on us five seconds after the dolphins dropped out of it. They got so close, it was the most incredibly amazing thing that I have ever seen! Our stay at Duke of Orleans was amazing!

On our second time at Esperance we spent most of our time working (same as last time) but we also did lots of fun things, including spending Friday morning at Twilight Beach. At Twilight Beach we swam out to the big boulder/rock island and explored all over the rocks, looking at crabs. We also enjoyed playing on the beach and jumping waves in the shallows. On the way back to camp we went to West Beach where we jumped the waves, then Dad and I climbed a big, steep rock. Afterwards we had a swim in the pool at the caravan park before having a delicious bacon and egg sandwich. Whilst at Esperance we also went for a ride up to the skate park and a big playground, where we had heaps of fun.
