π Crossing the Nullarborπ
Day One:

On the day we started to cross the Nullarbor we didn't leave until about 10:00am, so after only a few hours we stopped for lunch at Norseman. After lunch we had a quick look around the town before hitting the road again. The next time we stopped was at the start of the longest straight road in Australia (it's straight for 90 miles!), which is part of the Nullarbor. After driving for a bit we found a cute little campsite on a little track that was off the main road. It was lovely and we all enjoyed sitting around the campfire.

Day Two:

We started driving early and stopped at Cocklebiddy Roadhouse for breakfast. Whilst there we also saw the two rescue eagles they had in a massive enclosure, one had been hit by a truck and lost an eye, broke a breast bone and acquired a damaged wing. The other had been hit by a car and broke his elbow. They have not been released back into the wild because Samantha (the first one) is half blind and Bruce (the second one) cannot fly. They were very cool to watch. After driving for a while we stopped at some caves, on the way to them I found a DEATH Adder in a hole, it looked cool in a dark and scary kind of way! In the cave I went in to there was heaps of kangaroo skeletons and a couple of dead stumpy tailed lizards, it looked like all the kangaroos had been resting in the cave and had gotten drowned by a flash flood. They all looked like they were partly mummified and they were all coated in a thin layer of clay-like mud. There was also a couple of dead joeys. The two stumpies looked like they had just died normally.
After visiting the caves we went and had a look at an old, dried out inland sea that had lots of fossilised shells in it, Scientists and Archaeologists sometimes work at the site. Jackson and I found some really cool shells. After driving for a while we stopped at a Roadhouse where Jackson and I had a quick go on a playground (that was next to a big model of a whale) before going down to where we camped that night. We camped at the ruins of the Eucla Telegraph Station, which were cool to explore. We also walked down to the beach.
