OMG, there's green grass!!!! We were amazed when we got to our campsite and realised that there was grass after so many days without any. As soon as we set up we went for a swim with the new noodles we got from Kathrine (at Kathrine we also went to the markets and I got a beeswax lip balm). The water was freezing and super deep, but it was very refreshing as it was so hot outside. We swam over to the falls and I climbed up a rock and jumped off into the water, it was fun. That night we wandered down to the day use area to watch a collection of short films made by locals from the Top End, they were incredible!! We didn't want any of them to finish! Even though we were tired from watching all the short films the night before Mum and Dad still got us up early in the morning to go and walk to the Upper Falls. After a long time walking we were rewarded by the magnificent falls, they were magical! Even though we didn't want to leave we packed up and left to go to Litchfield.

| There was a great view when we went on the Edith Falls loop walk. |
 |
| When we walked to the top of Edith Falls there was a huge pool - we wish we brought our bathers because it was so hot already! |

| When we went to Kathrine we had a delectable breakfast at the cute little café next to the Visitors Information Centre, I had a creamy chicken and caramelised leek toasty. It was finger-licking good! |
 |
| It was beautiful swimming in the pristine waters of the humongous pool at the bottom of Edith Falls. |

When we first arrived we set up camp and headed straight down to the gorgeous falls that were only about a 500 metre walk from our campsite, they were picturesque. We spent the rest of the afternoon milling around in the water. The next day we went back and forth, and back and forth, between the falls and our camp, I think the place I liked the most was the water! We all had a blast floating near the waterfall and Jackson and I put our new googles to the test (our old googles were ruined from being in the "toy tub" along all the bumpy roads)! We also explored a small hot springs that was heating a part of the Wangi Falls! There was a magnificent plunge pool caved into the rock next to the smaller falls, it felt super cool to be swimming in the cliff! We didn't drive anywhere that day but the next day it was jam packed. We woke up in the morning on our second full day at LNP and it was Dad's birthday! We got out of bed and gave Dad his presents, the presents were lollies and chocolate-the best thing we could get at the Kathrine supermarket...unless we got him a freshly shot and snap frozen kangaroo tail! Afterwards we had an early morning swim followed by breakfast, it was a huge pancake stack (we even got ice cream) and it was YUM! When we could not eat another bite we drove to the Florence Falls car park and walked down the 170 steps to the falls and the glorious swimming hole, we were puffed by the end! After a refreshing swim we headed back up the stairs into the boiling sun and then into the car. When we had driven for about 5-10 minutes we turned off at the Buley (as in b-U-ly not bluey) Rockhole and as soon as we had completed the small walk down to it and had seen it we were gobsmacked! It looked so inviting. I just wanted to jump straight in and after we had found a hole we all liked I did.....it was so much fun that Jackson and I went crazy, we were jumping off all the rocks around the deep pool! After about two hours jumping and swimming, when our sunscreen had worn off, we left (even though Jackson and I DID NOT want to) and drove home where there was something just waiting to be eaten..... We had a cheesecake for Dad's birthday when we got home and it was delicious! To make some room in our bellies ready for dinner we went down and swam at Wangi Falls for the rest of the afternoon and Jackson and I enjoyed climbing up and jumping off a high rock. Dinner and dessert came next. For dinner we had pork ribs, potato mash and beans and for dessert we had gooey chocolate brownies with extra white chocolate and macadamias all served with ice-cream.
Over the next couple of days we tested out nearly everywhere that we had not gone to yet (we also revisited Buley Rockhole...we could not resist), here are all the places we squeezed into the last two days....
Sandy Creek/Tjaynera falls: We went to the Sandy Creek/ Tjaynera Falls and had a swim, we even spotted a water monitor on a rock!
Tolmer Creek Falls: We went and saw Tolmer Creek Falls from the viewing platform opposite the top of the falls because we could not swim as there was a rare bat colony around the falls. The falls were massive!
Buley Rockhole: Because we loved Buley Rockhole when we went there the day before, we went there again, this time at 5.00pm so there was no one there...we started at the first rockhole up the top and headed down to the last one. It was super fun!
Walker Creek: At Walker Creek you actually have to walk to your campsite! At each camp there was a different thing to see and a different place to swim, our favourite one was campsite 6...it had a deep plunge pool!
Lower Cascades: When we arrived at the Lower Cascades after a long dusty walk, (everything was covered in dust.....even the dust was dusty) we really needed a swim and luckily the water was nice and cool but if you stood under the actual falls it was warm!
To end our last day at LNP we went and had a late night swim, Dad even let me and Jackson stand on his shoulders! We all thoroughly enjoyed our time at Litchfield National Park.
